LMNT is tested for safety and quality at multiple stages of production, including independent third-party laboratory testing for heavy metals.

Like all products sourced from natural minerals, trace amounts of heavy metals such as lead can occur naturally in the environment. Plants, water and mineral sources all contain naturally occurring elements at very low levels.

Any trace amounts detected in LMNT are naturally occurring and present at extremely low levels — well below the most stringent U.S. safety standards. In fact, many common whole foods contain higher levels.
